 DeathNoble | My name is Noble, and I'm applying to be reinstat'ed as the head of the advice boards.
As one may notice when reviewing the boards, it is full of "one-hit-wonder" posters, that is, many people post there and are never heard from again. Combine this with the highly sensetive nature of the forum, and you have an section where many new people to the forums may feel extra vulnerable on top of the pressure/fear combo of being new. While many portions of the forums can be handled by the globals, I believ it is imperative to have a single person that can dedicate all their energy to that single section. As the site's dedicated Agony Aunt (As you're so fond of calling me) I've already proven to be compassionate, yet firm in my advice. Many have stated already that they would feel comfortable coming to me if they ever needed anything, and their are those that post in the advice boards that they have a problem, and would only like to speak privately with someone, rather than lay themselves out for God and the worlds to see. I've always strived to come across as someone whom one can come to with their issues, and still feel safe baring themself to. Much like a parent strives to be to their child. As far as helping those there, Jade long had faith in my advice before anyone, and many others now that I've been there in that position for over a year have come to trust my words as well. There have been a select few forum regulars that don't follow my advice and later come back and say that they wish they had. I know what its like to be down in the shit. I've been through running away from home, drug addictions, rehab, living with a junkie family, homelessness, rehab, and even dealing with sexual assault victims. I've walked through an extreme amount of hell in my life, and not have I learned a thing or two about what words to say to those that are standing where I stood not so long ago, but I've learned what it is to be them, and exactly how to ask for help when I need it, and how to help myself more than anything. As for promoting my section, you may remember the stickied topic there in the advice boards now that is titled "Being too nice to women" that deals with a large issue of men that just can't seem to get the opposite gender to notice them, pointing out the flaws in their ideas and logic to get their object of affection. I never actually intended to leave that topic stickied like that, but after the number of positive reviews of it that I got, I thought it a good place for to keep it. Topics like that that address general issues and have mabny people tossing their voices back and forth is what you can continue to expect from me if you reinstate me. All in all, I spent over a year there being more than just the moderator that kept a watchful eye and iron fist there, but as the advice head without ever being told to. Many have backed my "campaign" to be reinstated nd lead that board. All due to an already well-established track rcord. A record, you can expect to continue on. ------ Hate for hate & ruth for ruth.
