| Articles Slump.. |

This article is basically pulled out of my ass, but this article slump is pretty lame. There are however some rather liable points, I think.
Humanity as a whole is under the impression that they are the most intelligent species on the planet. In my opinion, we may be the most intelligent but as far as wisdom goes, we're not looking so good.
Animals on the other hand, seem to have the right idea.
I think we can basically agree on the fact that our Earth is a self-correcting system. In fact, things don't tend to go wrong in nature on its own. One species may over take the other, but it manages to be balanced or in the end turn out to be alright for nature, and the regions environment as a whole.
Humanity doesn't seem to be connected to that insurance, choosing not to be part of natures system. We as humans don't even consider ourselves anything equal to animals. In fact it'd likely be taken as an insult. Which, as a side note, I find simply arrogant. Our mind set is that anything that isn't human, or isn't domesticated [by humans obviously] is nature. Suggesting that, in the abstract, we don't even identify ourselves with nature. Which, I think is the problem.
As far as I can tell, anything deeply impacting Earth was a problem started by humans.
Extinction, [bare in mind species go extinct everyday, its natural] is often caused by: Human built cities, destruction of habitats, pollution, hunting, and simply disturbing of the regions environment.
Human cities are: inorganic, not animal friendly [nor nature friendly], often require clear cutting, and prone to pollution.
Habitats are destroyed by: clear cutting to develop farm land, dumping toxic waste into rivers, over hunting, and over all an unfriendly environment towards anything not human.
Pollution is caused by: Factories, everyday litter, and common human irresponsibility.
Hunting: [also something animals do obviously, but animals hunt when they need to eat.] Humans hunt, for sport, for food, and for the hide.
Humans upset regions simply because we're an unpleasant species to have to live near. We are messy, we take up loads of room, we generally don't like anything that isn't human, and we are under the involuntary impression that we are above nature.
Obviously human ingenuity has its ups and downs, but after only 150 years of heavy industry, it's beginning to get a little difficult to point out the ups.
Humanity being just as arrogant as usual has taken steps to try and help. Good thought, but stupid tactics. We have, spent billions of dollars trying to control nature and 'fix' it. We've tried to educate people into loving nature. We've established parks to satisfy the "on-the-fence" human’s natural desire to feel as though we haven’t done anything too bad to nature. It's also served as a tactic to make people love nature. We've spent millions of dollars trying to preserve endangered species.
I believe there is an obvious answer to the problem. But NOBODY wants to do it, so the idea remains relatively unspoken of. That solution is basically, desert our industries, leave our factories, and ultimately throw out everything humanity has developed. The idea is just about as radical as it could get, but I do honestly believe that it’d be the ultimate solution.

| Fear of Homosexuality or fear of a crumbling dynasty? |
February 28, 2007, 1:16PM |
 by: Drewman |
|
In a recent edition of the news paper in the region I live in, they printed a photo of a local musician at our music awards show, kissing his long-time, and soon to be wed, boyfriend. Now when I say kissing, I don't mean a full out, passionate kiss, but a loving and innocent peck on the lips. An article I've read, and I took no notice or offence to the picture. Alas, the next couples days were an outbreak of what looked to be homophobia, in my hometown, a fire of rage that continues today.
I've asked myself the question, that has plagued, and will continue to plague the minds of those who do not see any sort of problem with homosexuality. What is the logic behind those who are anti-homosexuality? Why do they single out people who prefer the love of a man/woman? Why does marriage have to be a exclusive club for the heterosexuals who claim to be in "love"? Why should those who mistreat the confines of marriage be permitted to remarry again and again, yet those who are bound spiritually are not permitted to have that little piece of paper saying they're also legally bound to each other?
I read almost once a month some celebrity couple have divorced once again, or another have married, but those who are normal people, can not marry those they love. Our governments create programs and organizations that allow teens, who are afraid to come out, to talk to someone and help them find a way, but there are still governments that will not allow gay marriage. Maybe the reason the majority of teen suicides, identified themselves as gay or lesbian, even though they have places to be accepted in, they still know they'll never be accepted in societies standards.
The photograph in question (available for reference at; http://www.hfxnews.com/index.cfm?sid=11301&sc=89), was infact sent to the mother of the musician, written on, with words of hate and disgust, which have brought hate and disgust for the person who not only wrote them, but so bravely forgot to leave her name. Sorry, what I meant to say was cowardly, yet there has been backlash, but none as harsh as the backlash for that photograph. Childish homophobic people of my province, sent their rage in the form of emails, letters, phone calls, and vandalism, not only to the news paper, but to the parents of the musician. (http://www.hfxnews.com/index.cfm?sid=13414&sc=89 , what they did to the cover). The entire ordeal, shows the intolerance of humanity, instead of accepting the identities of each other, we promote hate and disapproval of certain lifestyles that shouldn't be hated.
Abolish the old way of thinking and set in motion a new century of acceptance and peace. Allow someone the ability to be able to who they are, sexuality and personality wise, rather than live in fear of the homophobia that all of a sudden is all the rage. |

| Update: Group Activity Logs |
February 15, 2007, 10:02PM |
 by: eon |

One problem that has emerged within our groups is the task of keeping track of who is doing what. When a group has too many people with access to it's admin features, it's sometimes hard to tell why certain posts have been deleted, why certain members were kicked out, etc..
With this addition to the 'manage members' page, group leaders (successors and higher) will be able to see an activity log showing them precisely who was responsible for doing what.
I've taken some reports of groups that have been vandalized by unknown persons who managed to gain promotions to higher ranks. Hopefully this feature will act as a deterrent, or in the very least, allow group leaders to take appropriate action when this happens.
The logs will store the previous 500 actions, including: broadcasts, promotion, demotion and deletion of members, approval and rejection of new applicants, updates to the group page and changes to group settings. They will also record deletion of posts when the posts are deleted by someone other than the author.
As always, report any bugs and... enjoy.

Usually I'll play the Christianity card, but that's because it's a reasonable set of beliefs to me. I believe humanity has managed to throw out some good ideas, and a TON of really fuckin' weird ones.
This is a bit of a theory I have.
That it's through pure conceit, that people have the nerve to believe they go ANYWHERE after they die. It's human nature, to be conceited. It's involuntary, but it's constant. We're superior to all other species. It's nearly impossible to not feel that power. We have dominance. But that conceit, that illusion of power has lead us to think we can defy death. Our tools of self-deception list as: angel, spirits, ghosts, demons, succubae, gods, goddesses, deities, and the greatest abomination Heaven.
It's not just one single, religion. It's not just the Jews. It's not just the Christians. It's everyone. There is a common belief in the afterlife. A place were people believe they'll go after they die. And it's THAT involuntary conceit that drives us to interpret our existence, via the abstract. The creation of 'real,' 'tangible' Gods. Just like the square root of a negative number is an imaginary number. We've created an answer, because we're under the illusion that we know what's going on.
To me this practice is, self-righteous, self-concerned, arrogant, ignorant, and self-importance. Such conceited self-importance, doesn't impress me.
How these religions are formed I couldn't even imagine trying to explain. Much of the most reliable records of history, [pre-4000 B.C.] were destroyed with the Library of Alexandria. What still exists is what we know today. Which, really isn't all that much..
I do believe in my existence, and this world, and space and the universe. I believe everything is God. God, is.. it. It just is, as we just are because we are part of it. It's doesn't create, it doesn't destroy, it doesn't reward, and it doesn't punish. It just is. I'm basically personifying it's existence, it's not alive, but it exists. The universe. A living object.
It doesn't demand that we pray to it. It doesn't expect us to acknowledge it. It's not like, when we create a shoe that we expect it to recite to us our name over and over again and sing us songs. It doesn't demand religion.
Now the option is always open that I'm completely wrong.. It's just another philosophy.

Have you ever sat down and thought about what kind of music you listened to. Also why you listened to that style of music. We all have tastes in music on what's good and what's bad. We all have musicians and bands we love and we worship those musicians and bands accordingly. I was listening to one of the pop stations we have down here in Maine. Surprisingly this pop station played a few songs that I liked. One was by Nickelback and the other was by Evanscene. I sat there amazed. I was listening to the pop station for once in my life and I liked what I heard!
I think most of our musical preference is with at birth. I mean our preference for music is mostly picked up by what our parents listen to. Also what we listen to when we are growing up. I grew up in a pretty cool household. My mother loved rock music and other styles of music. I remember being a little kid and going through some of my mother's old records that she had lying around. There would be some really cool bands in there. One of my favorite bands as a kid was Steppenwolf and some of the early Led Zepplin stuff.
Around 12 or 13 I started to venture out of the musical nest. Well so to speak. Remember I'm big on stupid metaphors! I started actually going out to our local store. Which was an AMES in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. They had a decent selection of music. It wasn't the best. Trust me. I found this band called "Black Sabbath" the cover was simple the band name and the album name. I looked down at the cd I had in my hand. The case was all black.
I turned it over and saw a few songs I recognized. It was only two I knew. "Iron Man" and a song called "Paranoid". I remember my mother telling me about a band with a similar name. I bought and when I got home I popped it into my pc CD player. I played it and it hit me. This was one of the best bands in the world.
Mind you, when I was younger my parents had a tape that had a bunch of Metal bands on it. One of them was Black Sabbath and I think one of the songs was "Iron Man" so you could say. My parents at birth were forming one of the most dedicated metal heads on earth!
But before I found out about this band Black Sabbath.
I used to dabble in listening to pop music. To be honest and open. I didn't think most if at that time [1996-1998] wasn't that bad. You got some good bands and you got some bad bands. My favorite pop band at that time was Smash Mouth. To this day I still like that band!
I also liked a band called the Backstreet Boys. Yes, all you metal heads who are reading this can laugh now. I don't deny that I liked them in the past. My musical choices make me who I am. The music industry is one of the biggest entertainment industries around. There is no escaping that. Also music has become a very good escape for kids that want to express themselves. Learn an instrument start singing about what you wanna sing about. That in itself is a great escape.
I've also thought that we listen to the music we listen to. Because of how we feel at that moment. If we will fucking pissed off we are gonna listen to a fucking pissed off song. If we are sad we are gonna listen to a sad song. If we're happy we'll listen to a happy song. Get my drift?
I don't think we could fully explain why we listen to a certain band or a certain style of music.
You might come up an explanation why you listen to a certain band or a certain musician. That's primarily your opinion and pergotive.
I'm sitting her in a cold and damp computer room with my CD player in the background. It's playing the best of Grim Reaper. I scroll up the page and I've looked at what I've written. I'm shaking my head with disbelief and question. I'm wondering why I even started writing this. It's because I had an idea in my head and I wanted to share it. I've asked a question that can't really be answered. I mean we do have an answer for this question. It's not an real answer. It is more of an opinion answer. I know there is someone out there that might be reading this. If I post it. Thinking to themselves. "Hey dip shit. This is an easy question I can answer it!"
In my conclusion of sorts. I've finally asked a question that even I can't answer. The music we listen to and why we listen to it. It is a mystery even to me. My musical past is covered in everything.
Rock, Metal, Pop. Hair Bands, Country bands, Oldie Bands, Grunge bands. I'm a lover of every kind of music. The only thing in life that I'm really passionate about. Call me what you want. Just because I don't listen to METAL all the time doesn't make me a less of a metal head than you are. I've been listening to rock and Metal for more than 10 years.
In the words of Mick Jagger.
"I like it, I love it, I want some more of it."
I'll be a Metal head until the day I die. I'll lift those devil horns into the air with pride. Because this music is my life, my passion. And these metal heads are my brothers!
raise 'em up with pride! \m/ ^^ \m/

Registration is working once again and all issues previously caused by the mail server are now resolved. It is possible that we haven't seen the end of our trouble with this, but I'll be watching things closely.
Sorry for the down time today, there was lots of stuff on the server side that needed looking after. Things seem to be running smoothly at this point, but again, I'll have my eye on it.
Thank you for your patience. |

We're having problems with our mail server and so it will not be possible to register as a new user for the time being. If you filled out a new user registration in the past 24 hours but never received the verification email, this would be why.
This will also prevent Andromeda members from sending outgoing mail using their web based email accounts.
I currently do not have an ETA on repair. Expect 24 hours, perhaps longer. I'll post any updates here.
Sorry for the inconvenience. |

"There are vacuum-sealed vaults in the Vatican library containing thousands upon thousands of ancient esoteric books from around the world that have been stolen and hoarded over the years and kept out of public circulation. The Catholic Church, which is the root of the Christian religion, is controlled by a secret society that has abused occult power to enslave the masses. The end goal is the total enslavement of humanity, which they have worked towards relentlessly and ruthlessly."
"Following the Roman sacking of the Temple of Solomon 70 CE, Christianity was invented by the Jews the best known is (Paul aka 'Saul of Tarsus') so they could control the world using the ancient known powers of the mind and the soul. The Jews themselves know the Nazarene is a fictitious character based upon some 20 crucified heroes from Pagan pantheons. With the centuries of devout belief in this entity and the psychic energy poured into him through prayer, he has taken on a life of his own. For example, Odin hung from a tree, Set was crucified on a furka (cross), Buddha sat beneath the Bo (Boa- More of the Serpent, later) tree for enlightenment; the list goes on. Most of the character of the Nazarene was stolen from the Persian God 'Mithra.' In working a spell, it is always important a connection be made."
I am not one to criticize one on their personal religious choice. But I am one completely for exposing truths and untruths of history, time, philosophy; and everything else to be questioned in this life.
The websites (http://www.joyofsatan.com/), (http://www.exposingchristianity.com/) and (http://www.athiestalliance.org/) are not just to advocate alternative religions, but telling WHY they believe in what they believe. They offer insight for the skeptics. What am I writing about today? Exposing the past, from a different point of view.
I'll inform you. A lot of what they say about the 'Christian conspiracies' may seem like utter bullshit. What with 'psychic warfare' or spells used to create subliminal messages to 'enslave the masses.' Or even alien races that used to inhabit the earth. But it makes just as much sense as anything. &I'm saying this as a near-atheist who doesn't know what to believe, and has not let others influence my believe system by pushing it onto me.
This article may not seem valid to some. It is merely because (a) You have firmly-held beliefs, and you cannot accept alternatives, which is fine, or (b) I am not adequate in sharing every tidbit of information I found on those websites. If I were you, I would visit and read thoroughly through them if you are interested and my article did not fully quench your need for information.
Let us begin this multi-sided debate with a general question: "What is there to doubt about Christianity?"
What is there to believe?
Humanity goes back over 10,000 years. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam; all religions that basically follow the same path, are mostly new as compared to others. There are too many similarities in the Christian Bible to the books of the old religions.
"The name 'Jehovah' was stolen from the Roman God 'Jove.' [...] YHWH/IEUE was additionally the Egyptian Sun God, Ra: Ra was the father in heaven, who has the title of 'Huhi' the eternal, from which the Hebrews derived the name 'Ihuh.'"
"Jewish mystical tradition viewed the original Jehova as an androgyne, his/her name compounded as Jah (Jod) and the pre-Hebraic name of Eve, Havah, or Hawah, rendered 'He-Vau-He' in Hebrew letters. The four letters together made the sacred tetragrammaton, YHWH, the secret name of God..."
"The Hebrew Virgin Mary replaced Astaroth, the Hebrew Moses legend was stolen from Sargon (both were born in secrecy, left in a reed basket to float down the river and adopted by royalty). Hebrew Abraham was stolen from Hindu Brahma. Brahma in Sanskrit means 'many.' The endless list goes on and on. There isn't anything in the Christian religion that hasn't been stolen from Pagan religions predating it from hundreds to thousands of years. The Pagan Gods, being a powerful racial memory in the minds of Gentiles were replaced with Hebrew characters to be slavishly obeyed and worshiped. This set the stage for immense power and control."
The Original Gods were turned into Demons and monsters which represented evil. These 'evil' Demons were elder Gods, predating the Christian God. Speaking of evil, there is another symbol of evil to the Christian religions: the Serpent. In older religions, the Serpent is a symbol for the DNA helix, Kundalini force*, wisdom, and knowledge. Christian religions call the Serpent evil, like the Serpent on the 'Tree of Knowledge' in the story of 'Adam & Eve.' I see this as symbolic for Christians hesitating to spread knowledge to humanity. There is more than one truth in reality, and Christianity does not want to face this. They want their believers to be under the impression that Christianity is the ONLY safe-haven in the world for peace, truth, and belief.
There were many events in the Christian Bible that give mere hints to the true events. True, meaning, the ones that really performed, or were involved in the said event.
"- THE FLOOD
The Flood Story from Gilgamesh predates the Christian account by well over 1,000 years or more.
- The Christian Bible claims that 'Yahweh' incited the flood.
In truth, 'ENLIL' allowed the flood to take place. Tracing 'Enlil's' origins here on earth, we have found he is also known as 'Bel' which evolved into 'Baal' and eventually 'Beelzebub.'"
"- 'NOAH' BUILT AN ARK
'EA'(Satan) warned 'ZIUSUDRA' aka 'UTNAPISHTIM,' not 'Noah,' about the impending flood and instructed him on building an ark.
- A 'dove' returned to the ark with an olive branch signifying the flood was over and the waters receded.
In the original Mesopotamian account, a RAVEN, instead of a 'dove' finds dry land.
Also, the Gods departed from the Earth during the flood. Note 'GODS.'
- THE TOWER OF BABEL
-The Bible claims that 'Yahweh' confused the languages of the people's constructing the Tower of Babel. This is not so. AGAIN, the Christian Bible screws up and evidence of more than one God is plain to see:
-Genesis Chapter 11; verse 7:
"Let US go down and there confound their language that they may not understand one another's speech."
AGAIN, more than one God is mentioned."
This shows there is plenty of evidence of the Older Gods, as opposed to the single God of Christian religions. Are these just slip-ups and grammatical errors? Perhaps. Though I have heard so many Christians claim that God himself wrote the Bible. God, in the Christian eye, is a perfect creator of the entire universe. So either God makes many errors, Himself (perhaps even bigger errors than a mere book), or it is a work of people.
What would it mean if the Bible was a work of people? That means there is either a possibility that it is a work of fiction, or that it may have been stolen. Not to say that it might have been real, but there's nothing to prove that it is.
The Inquisition was a despicable attempt to get the entire world to accept 'Jesus,' and for Christianity to have control over everyone's beliefs.
"Girls as young as nine and boys as young as ten were tried for witchcraft. Children much younger were tortured to extract testimony against their parents. Children were then flogged while they watched their parents burn. [...] Most people aren't even aware of the facts."
"The Inquisition was a campaign of torture, mutilation, mass murder and destruction of human life perpetrated by Christians. The church increased in power until it had total control over human life, both secular and religious. [...] Innocents declared, 'anyone who attempted to construe a personal view of god which conflicted with the church dogma must be burned without pity.'"
Among these and other sick events of torture, there was obliteration of old texts and scriptures. A very good amount of these texts were burned. Old Mesopotamian, Babylonian, Sumerian texts, as well as others. What happened to the texts that were not destroyed? Air-tight sealed containers beneath the Vatican Church, as it was rumored. But why would they need to keep ancient texts under the church and destroy all other signs of this?
To create a new history. So that Christianity can overrule all other religions. This is where it comes in that Christians stole the old texts to create a new one, and to change history into their image.
In 3000 B.C., Egyptians began worshiping Osiris. This God was associated with the Sun and portrayed as a trinity of being a heavenly God, and earthly God, and a Falcon. This, among other predating trinities, was later to be depicted as the SINGLE Holy trinity: God, Jesus, and a Holy Spirit dove.
More that links Osiris to the Christian 'myths':
"The king of Egypt claimed to be the earthly god. He acted as a link between humanity and the heavenly god. It was believed the earthly god king became the heavenly god after death.
Later, the heavenly god, Osiris, was said to have fathered (through Isis, a virgin) an earthly god son, Horus, who was actually a rebirth of Osiris.
According to legend, this birth of Osiris/Horus was announced by Three Wise Men, symbolized by three stars in Orion's Belt pointing to Osiris' star in the east. Angelic voices hailed his arrival. His birth was often depicted in a manger, with Isis as the Madonna standing over him, and was said to have occurred on the Winter Solstice.
Belief in Osiris, Horus, and Isis became popular in the Roman Empire, until believers began to be persecuted under Christianity."
Sound familiar?
Or how about the Persian's man-God, Mithra (2000 B.C.) who was born of a God father and a human virgin mother?
"Mithra's birth was said to have occurred in a cave or stable, and was witnessed by shepherds who brought him gifts. Later, his followers celebrated this event with a ceremony at midnight on the eve of the Winter Solstice.
Mithra was viewed as a Redeemer. He was believed to have performed miracles, such as raising the dead, healing the sick, making the blind see and the lame walk, and casting out devils.
According to legend, Mithra celebrated a Last Supper with his twelve disciples before he ascended to heaven. In memory of this, his worshipers partook of a sacramental meal of bread marked with a cross.
In subsequent years, a stone image symbolizing Mithra was buried in a tomb. It was then withdrawn and he was said to live again. Followers of Mithra believed a person had to be baptized in order to ascend into the heavens after death. Mithra is supposed to return at the end of time to judge the human race.
In 67 B.C.E., Mithraism was introduced into the Roman Republic. Later, Mithraism stood as a powerful rival to the newly emerging Christianity. In fact, by 307 C.E., Mithra was officially designated the 'Protector of the Roman Empire.' However, by 358 C.E., followers of Mithra began to be persecuted under Christianity."
There are so many of these old stories, that pre-date Christianity by centuries, or millenniums, that it is most improbable for them all to be false in the name of THE Christian God.
Not only do the Christians pervert the Old Gods, but traditions, holidays, clothing, and sacraments; as well.
"CHRISTIAN VESTMENTS AND THEIR WITCH/SORCERER PARALLELS:
- The Cincture is a parallel to the Witch's Cord or Girdle.
- The Alb is a Ceremonial Robe.
- The Bishop's Miter is a copy of the Ancient Egyptian Crowns of the Gods and the Pharaohs.
- The Crosier represents the sorcerer's blasting rod and bears a strong resemblance to the Ancient Egyptian Crook."
"The Rosary was stolen from Tibetan Mala Beads, used for meditation. The repetition of the "Hail Mary's" and the "Our Father's" are stolen from the East Asian Mantras. A Mantra is a word repeated over and over to focus the mind in meditation. "Ohm" is the most common. The robotic repetitious prayers recited over and over again in X-tian churches are also corrupted imitations of mantras."
"The church steeple is a copy of the Egyptian Obelisk, the only difference is the crucifix on top. We are all familiar with the Egyptian obelisk, such as "Cleopatra's Needle." This has a lot in common with the 'Maypole.' The 'Maypole' was the symbol for the May King's phallus (erect penis). This is a symbol of fertility. On the eve of Beltane (April 30th), celebrants danced around the maypole. The original Egyptian obelisks were symbols of the phallus. They represented the erect organ of the earth God 'Geb' as he lay on the ground trying to reach up to unite himself with the Goddess 'Neith/Nut' of the overarching sky. Unbeknownst to most x-tians, their church steeple is a symbolic erect penis with a cross on top."
''Amen' when said at the end of xtian prayers was STOLEN as well. 'Amen' was stolen from the Egyptian 'Amon.' 'Amon RA.''
"The HALO was stolen from Hindu Gods and the Buddha. Both religions predated Christianity by centuries."
"The praying hands were stolen as well. They are an ancient Yogic Mudra. There are statues of the Hindu Gods and also the Buddha with the praying hands known as the 'NAMASTE MUDRA.' The folded hands as well, a variation, is yet another mudra that was stolen. Mudras are used in meditation to connect the minor chakra circuits in the hands and fingers. Many Yoga asanas have these as well. Check any on-line images of Hatha Yoga postures. Yoga predates x-ianity."
There is so much more I could say to convince you away from Christianity, but this is simply not a persuasive essay. I'm not trying to tell you that your (possibly) Christian religion is wrong. I am not saying that these words are the ultimate truth, as I have no belief in that.
I am trying to help expose the truth. Christianity, from as far as I have studied, lies. The only reason I say this is from all of the outstanding evidence on these websites, as well as many others; that I have read. I can only hope this will inspire others to open their mind to discovering the truth, and discovering wisdom and peace in life.
"There is NOT, nor should there be an ultimatum for belief."

| The Absurdity of "Proof" |
January 25, 2007, 11:51PM |
 by: Foxblood |
|
It is an impossible folly to attempt to disprove God by the use of observation and reason. Nor is it possible to prove the existence of one, but this article will not focus on that issue; few will argue with me on that point, considering my audience. There have been many over time who have said, “I see no evidence of the existence of God; therefore, he cannot exist.” This brilliant observation is a particular favorite among the many Nietzsche disciples in this community – but I digress. This is enough reason for one not to believe in a God. However, this is nowhere close to absolute proof. The human mind is incapable of knowing such things for sure; thus faith, simultaneously religion’s greatest strength and greatest weakness. It’s annoying, but it’s there. The closest we can come to Truth regarding Divinity is by the way we feel.
Emotions should definitely be suspect. Different things arouse different emotions from different people. Rain draws joy and a feeling of cleansing from me, mere melancholy from others. Not only this, but emotions can be easily influenced by the consumption of any number of chemicals. However, if we’re going to take that path, we cannot simply stop there. By the same reasoning, we cannot fully trust our sensual observations either. All judgments and sensations, be they sight, hearing, smell, taste, or touch, are essentially electrical impulses shot through the nerves from cells to our brains; there is no way to really see the world as it truly is: color is waves of light, sound waves of vibration. These can be influenced easily as well, be it by chemical, injury, or other catalyst. Some chemicals cause intoxication or synaesthesia, some injuries dementia or blindness. Certain magnetic waves have been known to influence sensory perception. Who knows in what areas observation fails us? We don’t have a direct connection with the outside world, and as such, all intellectual judgments are mere guesswork. Therefore, subjecting all response to this sort of reasoning, as is only fair, doesn’t leave us with any options. Thus we can trust our emotions and intuitions little less than our reasoning; reason is suspect as well. I suppose we’ll have to make due with what we have, and come to our own decisions. Nothing is for certain, and it is idiotic to use the fact that we cannot touch a God as proof of his inexistence.
Religion is an individual decision; there is no absolute truth in this world. Any man who says “This is the way things are, and I can prove it,” be he supporting a certain religion or damning them all, is an inflated fool, a pseudo-intellectual at his worst.
The Oracle at Delphi once proclaimed Socrates to be the wisest of men. This confounded Socrates, and upon reflection and after speaking to a man who was supposedly wise, he said this:
“I do not suppose that either of us knows anything
really beautiful and good, I am better off than he is - for
he knows nothing, and thinks that he knows. I neither
know nor think that I know.”

Don't give me any of this "It's not original LOL MORON" attitude. This is simply a response to the endless stream of idiotic condescending comments I have seen made by pompous know-it-alls.
