There's a new "abstinence only" philosophy that I've been seeing lately. Abstinence means that if you don't do it, you won't have to worry about whatever consequences come with giving into those desires. Dear God! People could get impregnated with new ambitions and points of view! They could start conceiving their own theories and philosophies! And the spread of such horrible diseases as revolution and art and progression could quite possibly infect the entire nation! This menace must be stopped! We much drive it into our children early: intellectual intercourse is much too dangerous an activity for anyone to engage in. Forcing them to use prophylactic measures such as mindless entertainment or substandard education aren't enough. Only by completely cutting yourself off from anything educational will keep you safe. Did you know thinking too much could actually be very detrimental to your health, even kill you? All you would need is to read a book or converse with one person that could be carrying some filthy form of knowledge that will change you into a raving intellectual obsessed with quantum physics or some other nasty thing. You would never be the same person. You'd never be able to sit and play World of Warcraft with your friends for seventeen hours straight again! And remember, educating yourself is an abomination in the eyes of God, you filthy pervert. If you keep doing that, you're bound to go blind anyways. | |

Being a massive fan of the fantasy genre of games, movies, books and figures, i thought i would take the time out of my some-what busy day and share with you gals and guys my views on the ever-so-changing world of FANTASY. Fantasy could mean a million things, anything that people view not part of the reality of our world, is fantasy. But what makes this genre so diverse? Who were the people that architected some of the stories and creatures you see in the beautiful worlds of such stories as King Arthur, Avalon, Lord of the Rings, and all the folklore tales passed down from generation to generation. We will start with THE most influential fantasy epic of our time and most likely all time: The lord of the rings. Now, as many of you know, John Ronald Reuel Tolkien wrote this 3 part epic set in the world of Middle Earth. Now im not going to sit here and tell you what its about because, honestly, i wouldnt know where to start. Tolkien was that kind of a writer, that his genius would see that the Lord of The rings books, could not be duplicated and misinterpreted in any other way but the way her made them to be. A vast world filled with beautiful and dangerous forest, Orcs, Goblins, Elves, Hobbits, Wizards living together with the kingdoms of men. Lord of the rings is trully a masterpiece, a book so fascinating and rich in detail that you will most likely have to read it twice to understand things you missed the first time you read it. Now Tolkien did more then recycling a world of fantasy, he actually created the first ORC. Now i have had many debates with idiot Warcraft fans who say that it was BLIZZARD entertainment who created the ORC. Now me being a huge Warcraft fan aswell, i know that it wasnt Blizzard who designed the Orc, in fact about 70% of the World Of Warcraft is inspired by Tolkiens work in all his various books: Orcs, Elves, Talking and walking trees, need i go on? Now lets move on shall we? We have established that Tolkien created most of the creatures we see in todays movies and games, but who was his inspiration? Which author was Tolkien fascinated with? Yep. You guessed, none other then one of the single and most artistic visionists of the 16th century, William Shakespear. King Arthur, Avalon, the sword in the stone, Puck the trickster, the 3 sisters, Lady of the lake, these are all the works of Shakespear. Shakespear single handedly defined the fantasy genre of Faeries and Elves. He showed betrayal, forbidden love, romance, desire, deception, murder and lust in most of the plays he wrote. It was he who made famous Elves as a single race, and not the same as the Faerie folk, he made them taller, ellegant and honourable. He would show the greatest of bravery in Faeries, and the most evil of deception. The world of Faeries (Fairies), elves and pixies is a very laughable one in todays standards. Disney cartoons like Cinderella, introduced faeries as kind and gentle creatures, that could grant wishes favouribly to misfortuned people. When the reality of the routes of these creatures lay in a more darker and sinister world. Two renowned artists, Brian Froud and Alan Lee created a illustrative book, biographing these folklore creatures from around Europe in a book simply titled "Faeries". In the books wonderfully and beautiful rendered paintings and illustrations that 2 did, it shows Faeries as vile and evil creatures, whos characteristics are nothing like that of there human counterparts, they will decieve and lie to humans to trap them and make them faeries, they will steal babies and exchange them for gross and deformed faerie babies. This book also showed creatures like Elves, who in actual route, are one in the same as Faeries, the 2 words are interchangable. It even tells stories of people being lured by the beauty of Faerie women, and being trapped in there world forever. So now we have established authors and film makers of the fantasy genre were influenced by people like Tolkien, and Tolkien was influenced by Shakespear, but what was before Shakespear? Even today it is still unknown the true origins of faerie folk. Many researches believe that they derived from Celtic traditions and northern Germany beliefs. Before the introduction of the Church, its safe to say, that all of Europe was polytheistic, worshipping multiple gods and spirits. Faeries could be some of these spirits and gods. In Irish folk for example, they believe in spirits of the dead, like the Banshee, would attach themselves to a particular family. In north-east Germany, they believed that faeries were lost children. Whatever the truth behind Faeries may be, it still remains a wonderful and beautiful research topic. Each culture has there own beliefs about these spirits, whether they are good, or evil. So next time you watch a fantastic epic, do some research of the characters, and i assure you, atleast ONE of them will be linked to one of these enchanting creatures. | |

Animals kept in cages for human entertainment. It seems natural enough. You take your children to the zoo, your friends come with you, and you buy a souvenir T-shirt. You get to see the Animals in 'their natural habitat' which is really a simulated habitat created by humans for animals far from what they're used to. But lets face facts here, we're animals too. We evolved from apes, and we are mammals, same as the lions, tigers, and bears! (oh my) But is it natural to see a human freak show? A carnival with humans locked in cages, prodded at with sticks, taunted with food? No it's not natural, and here's why. We understand how the humans locked in cages are feeling. Lonely, hatred, loathing for the world that allowed them to be captured there. Is it just possible that the animals that we tease with food and prod at with sticks just might hate everyone and everything? And yet we still wonder why they try to escape, killing many people on their path to freedom. Is it really that much of a mystery? The problem is that people see the great and majestic animal as something inferior to humans, put here by God to with with as we like. (Also one of the many reasons I've found it difficult to believe in 'God') Now don't get me wrong, I'm not from PETA, in fact, don't give them money, they're as crooked as George Bush himself. I eat hamburgers and fully enjoy them. I've even eaten crocodile once. What got me to write this is the news coverage of a Tiger attacking people. A human can beat another human within an inch of his life, but gets a fair trial, with a jury, a judge, and they still sometimes get away. If an animal should even do half of that, we put it immediately to death. I think there's something wrong with that myself. Why is it that Humans think they are superior to animals in every way, when they are in fact animals themselves? Because we've mastered dialect and technology. Without those two key factors, we would be out there foraging for food, protecting ourselves against every predator that might come our way. We would be just like them. I thought this was all completely obvious to everyone, but apparently not. So the question arises again. Why did a tiger break out of it's human made habitat and kill someone? Why did it attack? It can't possibly hold a grudge against humanity for keeping it there. It can't possibly want freedom. It can't possibly view every human as a threat, and attack them for fear that any human they see could be the one to put them back into captivity. But if we were in a cage with people always looking at us, taunting us, would we not do the same? Try and escape, anyone who gets in the way of our freedom could pose a threat. We would harm them too. Just look at the past... animals have attacked people in either resentment or on a quest for freedom as long as we've had them in captivity. How could this pattern not be obvious? I know that some people are going to read this, and no, it's not my personal belief, it's fact. And if there is a God out there, I'll willingly go to his hell because I wouldn't want anything to do with him anyways, so if you're going to reply to this article saying that I'm going to hell, I know, and I thank you for the compliment. | |

ha soo alot of people have a problem with gays and lesbians.... they think that we all woke up and decited to be like this... thats just like saying you want cancer one day and then after living in a body that has so much pain the next day you dont want it.... well see...thats just the way lesbians and gays are. we didnt choose to be like this....actually...sometimes...some people do it because they want attention..and want to have people know about them so they lie that they are something their not. ...i want to spit on you low lifes being gay is the most hardest life style someone can ever live though....just like back int he day when people were being slaved and killed because of what skin color they were or because they had a big nose. what if one day every gay person in this world started to hate all the straight people in the world...what if the world was all suppose to be gay and then random people are straight. i wonder how you people would feel then. being gay is who we are and not what we want to be. no person would ever want to be gay because there is so much hate for the things people cant control. if people have a problem with gay people you should keep your shit to yourself. gay people love everyone no matter who you are because they learn to love life for what it gives you and to always be happy for even the things you cant help. i'm not trying to change your minds on gay people now to love them all and i dont plan on people to start loving me. i just want people to be more out of the box then in it gay people shouldnt be put down or beaten to death because of something they cant control. but they should be respected for living the hardest life in the world because there is always negative people towards us gay and lesbians. try living in our shoes for a day i bet you wouldnt even last an hour for all the shit people say and do....and disrespect us. so i guess i'm done blabing on about this. and i might not have got to the point i wanted to get to cause i cant remeber anymore...but atleast i made an effort to try lol. i hope this helps you rude bitches out there about gay people and to understand the hard living we have to do everyday. but other then that. good bye :D | |

As many of you may know, the Tim Burton film "Sweeney Todd" came out recently, and Burton, Depp, and Todd fans-- including myself, have flocked to see it. I've been a fan of Sweeney Todd for the past year or so, I have loved the musical stage version with George Hearn and Angela Lansbury, and I adored the Tim Burton adaptation. Usually after seeing a good film, I go on a website I have an account on, called IMDB (the internet movie database), and go on the fourms for that movie where discussions take place about it. Reading around I caught one thread that said "Student Expelled", and curiously I looked into it. I have had a long history of school punishments, so I was drawn to it and read it, and inside it told of a student who was attended a pretty good art/drama school, and was attending there for a good amount of time. His girlfriend also went to the same school, so things were running rather well. Eventually, his girlfriend broke up with him for an unspecified reason, and the breakup got to him sometimes. While feeling somewhat crappy, he decided to do some writing, and at the time he had the musical song number "Epiphany" from Sweeney Todd playing in his head, and decided to write them down in his notebook. "Epiphany" is played when Sweeney Todd (in the film and musical play), misses his chance for revenge against the man who wronged him, and decides to seek vengence upon London. It goes somewhat like this: "They all deserve to die. Tell you why, Mrs. Lovett, tell you why. Because in all of the whole human race Mrs Lovett, there are two kinds of men and only two There's the one they put in his proper place And the one with his foot in the other one's face Look at me, Mrs Lovett, look at you. Now we all deserve to die Tell you why, Mrs. Lovett, tell you why. Because the lives of the wicked should be made brief For the rest of us death will be a relief We all deserve to die." Thats not the whole thing, but it gives you an idea. Anyway, to make a long story short, he wrote it out, his girlfriend got ahold of the notebook, and took it to the school athorities. From there, the student was at first suspended, and then expelled from the school for making a "death threat". Some of you may sit there and go "that's just stupid of the student to do that", but I sympathize with him. How many people have written out the lyrics to something while you were feeling a certain mood? How many of you sometimes just need to vent the way you feel to feel better? I've had my moments. Many people reply saying "you should sue the school". And while I whoreheartly feel that would be appropriate, I dont think it would be possible. As bullcrappy as it may seem, school systems today have the right to suspend its students freedom of expression and speech. Why, earlier this year in Febuary, I was suspended for a month, had to get a psychatric evaluation to be allowed back into school, and once I was back in school, I was forced to have an aide follow me around the school halls because I was a danger to the public. Would you like to know why? I drew a picture in my notebook of a milk carton attacking sombody. Sad, very sad. We discussed in my global studies class about the zero tolerance policy my junior year, and we talked about several cases where people have tried to take the school to court over them suspending/expelling them for what is concidered "unfair reasons". First it began as simple things, but since waves of school shootings that stuck the United States in the late 90s, people have upped the strictness on their power over student's personal freedoms. Its not an issue that can be solved, and its certainly not an issue that is going to leave all by itself. I have a long history myself of school punishments and the zero tolorance policy, none of which involved any sort of psysical violence. The first time I was ever suspended, it was out of my own stupidity. It was not long after Columbine, in fifth grade, and a certain teacher I did not like was giving me problems and it made me feel very angry. After class in the halls, I vented a threat that was manipulated by other people and turned into something else that was ventually reported to a higher athority, and it was suspended for about ten days and the incident was published in the local newspaper. A whole string of crap happened in 7th grade I wont get involved in. In 8th grade I was suspended for about five days. Every morning I had to take an antidepressiant in middle school, and one morning in the beginning of 8th grade my throat was feeling really groggy, so I put the pill in my pocket and would take it later in the day. At some point, I put my hand in my pocket in school, and forgot I put the pill there, so I pulled it out and threw it in the trash. Sombody reported me, I was put in the police office, a police officer searched me and all my possessions, including my locker and backpack. They also went through all the trashes in the school untill they found the pill, and I was suspended for five days. It gets better, all through my sophemore year I had to deal with crap because of my myspace. My myspace, to other people was "dark and disturbing, and talked about murder." My myspace page back then was no different than my darkstarlings as of now, the only difference was that I had a small true crime section under my General section that said I liked to read about murderers and study their psychology on what propells them to make them kill, I feel like by researching them we can pinpoint red flags and strike down crimes faster based on their motivations. Parents would freak out, school would freak out, and it all would go to the police department. The police would question me, on SEVERAL occasions throughout the year, and at one point in May of that year, the police was sent to my mother at work to question her, and eventually they came to my damn HOUSE! It gets even better; my junior year, remember at the beginning of the article that I was suspsended, examined, and watched because of the milk carton drawing? Well in between all that I would find out through my psychatrist that the school, and the police department were monitoring all my online web pages, including myspace, darkstarlings, vampirefreaks, and imgoth.com. They were checking all the comments I made to people, and the comments made to me, check all the other people's profiles who commented me, checked and monitored all my friends profiles, and did this untill the end of the year. Oh, hunnies, it gets even better. The aide that was assigned to me had to follow me around through the halls in between classes, to the bathrooms, and everywhere else. When I came into school, I had to report directly to the office to meet my aide, and the aide had to follow me out of the school when it ended. I also had to eat my lunch in a special room, to isolate me from the public because I was a danger. Anyway, after a month of being in the school, and having the aide, it was April, and a threat was made by another student in the school. From what we know, the student made the threat on one of the school computers in the library, it was sent as an e-mail to a teacher, saying that something violent was going to happen at school on April 20th. April 20th being the anniversery of the Columbine shootings, naturally the school shit a brick and went crazy on security. And it especially went apeshit on me. The town police department was hired to send police officers to patrol all halls of the school, and everyone entering the building had to be searched. And, anyone who was fingered as a suspect, was questioned, and of course, that meant yours truly. I was questioned, all my friends who were concidered "goths" were questioned, the police were yet again sent to my house on several occasions to harass my parents, and I was once again monitored. The school announced that it questioned about 30 people, however, as I would find out, out of all those people, I was the first one questioned, I was the only one who had my friends questioned, I was the only one who had police come to my house, and I was being watched the entire time by an aide, so how could I? This went on untill mid-May the following month, when nothing happened whatsoever follwing the threat. I would later find out that people had pools going on me about who could get me suspended/expelled first and the longest, among several other things. And all this is true. Schools make an effort to make kids safe, but are they really? Or are they simply putting them in more danger than keeping them safe? What if the knot is getting tighter around them and only encouraging them to commit violence. Imagine a kid with high goals in his life, and people one day point a finger at him in an accusation for something in school he never did, and he is arrested and convicted, and all his goals are now demolished. What if? What if? I also did research, I looked through several news articles that question the zero tolorance policy, one included a school being evacuated after sombody reported a gun in the cafeteria that was later discovered to be a ham sub sandwitch. It was snowing outside like all hell and they had kids standing outside in the freezing snow for four hours while the police got on the roofs of the school and went inside and scanned the entire building before finally entering the cafiteria where it was reported where a gun was found. That gun turned out to be a ham sub. This inspired me to look up a few articles online about other incidents at school just to see how far things have gone. A study was made that stated teachers are using the zero tolorance policy to their advantance over kids, weather to molest them or whatever else. Reports of kids dying of asthma attacks because their school didnt allow them to bring in an inhalher. Money being paid from the town for police departments to patrol a school for a week because some kid sent an e-mail to a teacher threatening to kill them on April 20th (the anniversery of Columbine) and absolutley nothing happened. Its the fear of the unknown that drives them, and more and more its getting out of hand. Is it really making kids safe, or putting them in danger? Thats just the first of many instances at school, go on google and type in "school zero tolorance policy" and read up on all the other stupid crap the school system does to students. They use that "probable cause" crap ever since Columbine, and continue to enforce it no matter how rediculous. If you ask me, it wouldnt surprise me, if, in ten years that schools will be allowed to install security cameras and hire more police officers to patrol school halls, seeing how they're already doing it today. Things will become Orwellian, and the school dropout rate will continue to skyrocket higher and higher like its already doing. But what can we do? There is nothing, because the danger is laying like a needle in a haystack, and in order to find it you have to burn the whole stack down to get it. | |

Did you know that research indicates that 70% of the people who get genital herpes do so while their partners show no visible signs? I feel really bad for those people, but there's one more piece of information that we can infer from this study. 30% of people who catch genital herpes do so while their partners DO show visible signs. (Pause for jaw-dropping, perplexed "what the fuck" look) I can't even imagine the conversation.... Joe- "Jenny, you look so hot....but....what's that giant wart on your vagina?" Jenny- "oh....that. Uhm.... genital herpes?" Joe -long pause- "eh, I could be immune" It's beyond me to rationalize it. So, with this in mind, why not use this to our advantage to control the growing global population? The older I get, the more I realize that I'm surrounded by stupidity, apathy and ignorance. Even worse, it seems like it's those who fall under that category that breed like rabbits! So I have a solution. Let's make STDs our friend, and let them do all the work for us. It's like genocide, but self engineered. Here's how it works; When you're born, you are administered some sort of reversible neutralizing agent that renders you impotent. After you reach the age of 20, you may opt to go through a series of tests to prove you're not incompetent, unable to support yourself, or an unfit parent, and if you pass are given the reversing agent to be able to have children. What's this mean for all the dumbasses out there? A lowered need for protection, and the guarantee of a STD epidemic. Who knows, maybe they'll even start mutating into each other and gonnaherpasiffilAIDS will be born and wipe out half my hemisphere. Sure, medicare and taxes will be high for the next fifty years but after that, it's smooth sailing. (For the record. I'd fail the test to get my spermies back) | |

Thanksgiving is one of the USA's most sacred holidays, right up with the 4th of July. It conveniently occurs on the "fourth Thursday in November" each year. Not only does this day mark the official beginning of the Holiday Shopping Season, it is also one of the key elements in the country's national mythology. Oppressed pioneers, "The Pilgrims," arrive on the savage shores of Massachusetts, desiring only religious freedom. After a tough year of overcoming countless adversities, they rejoice with a festival of giving thanks to G*d, and eating a lovely dinner with family and friends, and of course some kindly Indians. The reality is a little different. The reality is a story about mass-murder that went on for hundreds of years. History Every schoolchild in the USA has been taught that the Pilgrims invited the local Indians to a major feast after surviving their first year in "New England." In 1620 the English ship Mayflower landed at a place to be named Plymouth, delivering 102 right-wing Christian extremists. By today's standards, this would be a group of hardcore Christian lunatics, isolated in the mountains somewhere, far from the sinful world, where the Anti-Christ is already running the show and the Rapture was supposed to have happened a few months ago. This English crew was kicked out of England not because of "religious intolerance," but because these "Puritans" were such assholes that they were too stuff for even the English to deal with. Imagine England of Shakespeare's time. Music, cakes & ale, tea & crumpets, wenches, sex and ribaldry were the order of the day, and were about all that any normal people cared about. Good times! Then you have these fucking Puritans, wearing only black, walking around all gloomy, as music, dancing, non-married "lustful glances," and basically every fun thing they could think of were considered forbidden. You couldn't whistle a tune or tap your foot if you heard one; if you weren't married, you couldn't even look in the same direction as a person of the opposite sex. They would punish each other with bizarre penalties for any violations of their law. They made the Taliban look like Japanese tourists. The original Native people of this stretch of shoreline had already been killed off. In 1614 a British expedition had landed there. When they left they took 24 Indians as slaves and left smallpox behind. Three years of this epidemic wiped out around 95% percent of the inhabitants of the coast, destroying most villages completely. A thrilling tale of survival The Puritans built their town of Plymouth near the deserted ruins of an Indian village. They ate from abandoned cornfields grown wild. Only one Indian named Squanto was around the place -- he had spent the last few years as a slave to the English and Spanish in Europe. Squanto spoke English and taught the Pilgrims how to plant corn and how to catch fish until the first harvest. Squanto also helped the colonists negotiate a peace treaty with the few remaining people of the nearby Wampanoag tribe. Going home to his own Pawtuxet tribe, a day's hike to the north, Squanto had his throat cut as punishment for stupidly helping these weird strangers. In celebration of their good fortune, the colony's governor declared a three-day feast of Thanksgiving after that first harvest of 1621. The Pilgrims were very lucky that most of the Indians in their area had already been killed off, and they gave thanks for this. The scheming begins Many more religious nutcases began to arrive, taking land and enslaving Indians to help them farm it. By 1637 there were about 2,000 settlers. They pushed out from the coast and decided to remove the inhabitants. In the coming decades, these new settlers would form armies and go out raiding and destroying Indian villages, just to get them the fuck out of the way so Civilization could begin. One of the settlers wrote, "Those that escaped the fire were slain with the sword; some hewed to pieces, others run through with their rapiers, so that they were quickly dispatched and very few escaped. It was believed we thus destroyed about 400 at this time. It was a fearful sight to see them thus frying in the fire...horrible was the stink and scent thereof, but the victory seemed a sweet sacrifice, and we gave the prayers thereof to God, who had worked so wonderfully for us." By 1676, the colonists declared an official "day of public thanksgiving," saying, "there now scarce remains a name or family of the savages that are not slain, captivated or fled." By this time, the Puritans had destroyed the Wampanoag and all other neighboring tribes. The Wampanoag chief "King Philip" was beheaded. His head was stuck on a pole in Plymouth, where the skull still hung on display 150 years later. A Massachusetts law of 1695, the same year in which the Puritans of Salem were burning teenage girls to death for being "witches," gave colonists permission to kill Indians at will, declaring it was "lawful for any person that shall find any Indians traveling or skulking in any of the towns or roads to kill them as they may or can." Incidentally, the neurotic "puritanism" and prudishness of the Puritans is the reason Americunts are generally so fucked up in this regard, even now, in comparison to other countries. Honest Abe A couple of hundred years later, President Abraham Lincoln, just after ordering the army to wipe out some pesky Injuns out on the Plains, declared Thanksgiving to be a legal National Holiday. Since then Since that time, as most of the USA's original inhabitants are either fabulously wealthy running casinos or dirt-poor, living in broken-down trailers, Thanksgiving has morphed into a somewhat mandatory day when as many friends and/or family-members as possible are forced to gather at someone's comfortable home, to spend a whole day cooking a turkey, chit-chat about meaningless nonsense, re-live personal and family traumas from years and decades ago, and watch football games, even if one seriously hates football. Then, when all the food is ready, everyone sits fake-nicely around the table and fills their already-obese faces with as much food as they can possibly shove in. Indeed, most Americunts no longer call this Thanksgiving, in favor of the less-potentially-offensive term of Turkey Day. After this gluttonous orgy, and after a drunken uncle or two get into a fist-fight, and a child breaks a valuable antique, and two other children fight about the Nintendo, every one puts on their size XXXL sweaters and goes for a nice Thanksgiving walk around the block. This takes over an hour, as many of the adults have to stop and rest every 10 meters or so and smoke a cigarette. Returning to the house, everyone has several additional helpings of dessert, including ice cream and pie, until there is absolutely no food left in the house. Or maybe The alternative approach to a modern Thanksgiving is often chosen by people who want to receive special God-points for being extra-nice to "those less fortunate." These do-gooders go on down to the local homeless shelter or church-based soup kitchen, and spend the afternoon serving a Thanksgiving DinnerTM to "The Homeless." This meal always bears a striking resemblance to ordinary jail food, perhaps with a somewhat larger amount of imitation "mashed potatoes" or applesauce. This is fine with the throngs of unfortunate diners, nearly all of whom are crackheads or meth addicts or hardcore alcoholics. Afterwards, the do-gooders go to a fine restaurant, where they have pre-arranged for an elaborate Thanksgiving meal to be prepared. They have done such a good deed this Holiday Season, one that will take them through the year secure in the knowledge of their virtue. And now to the shops The next morning, "The Day After Turkey Day," is known to be the biggest shopping day of the year, and the launching of the Holiday Season marketing blitz. Many of the women will be seen at the shopping centers before dawn, queued up for early-opening stores, ready to max out the remaining credit cards yet again. And what are they buying? Thousands of dollars "worth" of toys and gadgets and electronics and other expensive shit, to help bolster the US economy, and to maintain the illusion that gives their lives meaning. I was recently made aware of a message sent to some Gay Rights myspace page and upon reading made some serious conclusions, I'd like comments on this. I accept all criticism and different opinions and apologize for any offense I may have caused, these are simply my feelings. Once past the bad spelling/punctuation and crappy taste in music as indicated in this girl's myspace URL- (I'm not a GC fan) I started to examine what she said. I'm not saying at this point who is right or wrong.. but the way this girl has phrased everything she's said seems to me.. stupid. At first she says she has no problems with gays but within the next few lines she seems to actually be starting to attack them. If she had no problem she shouldn't really care one way or the other- or start to complain and preach about how it is a CHOICE, but she does. The first thing she says is that gay isn't normal. So that brings me to the question, is it? It seems pretty common.. everyone hears about it. It's even a trend now.. which is disgusting, but that's another blog. (Sexuality is not something you wear!) What about the tons of people out there that are still in the closet? And the new generation is much more open-minded than the last, does that mean there will be a sudden increase in the percentage of homosexual adults within the next 10-20 years? More and more people are coming out of the closet. This girl also says that homosexuality will never, ever be normal. Let's look at interracial marriage. It's a similar issue, though probably not quite as controversial. At one time it was unacceptable, unthinkable, and very much unheard of. But now? It's become a more and more common occurrence, especially since the 1960's. How can you say that the case will not be very much the same for homosexual marriage? If the purpose of sex is to make children then there would be no point in any contraceptive method, and many people believe that the use of contraceptives should be prohibited. I've even met a couple and I'm 100% willing to say and stand by the fact that I think they're completely moronic. If nobody, ever again, uses birth control, condoms, or anything.. even simple withdrawal, more and more children will be born. More nonrenewable resources will be used up and the human race will be plunged into extinction and mourning an Earth unable to support life. What about couples unable to have children due to sterility? Is it wrong for them to have sex simply because they cannot make a child? No, a man and a man cannot make a child. Nor can a woman and a woman. In some cases neither can a man and a woman, and in other cases they can and just shouldn't. And again think about this, if more children are born, the population goes up. And if the population increases guess what will happen to the percentage of homosexuals? Yes.. it also, in all probability, will increase. Which leads me to the last thing she said. How can you argue that people are not born gay if you yourself are not gay? How could she possibly know anything about what it is like to be gay? She should at least do some research and it is quite obvious that she did not. There are studies now that say that homosexuality is genetic. Still not convinced? Let's look at this girl. She thinks she was born straight? How does she know she was born straight? Because she's attracted to the opposite sex, it's simple. It's the same for someone who is homosexual or bisexual. They're attracted to both, or the same sex, and it really is just that simple. Sexuality is not your choice. You're born with your sexuality. Your choice is whether or not to be open about it and whether or not to act on it. Just because you've never had sex with the opposite sex doesn't mean you're not heterosexual. And just because you haven't had sex with the same sex doesn't mean you're not homosexual. The choice is whether or not to act on it. | |

In working on new features for the site, I'm having to update the CSS a bit. Some of these changes will affect those of you who have done customized group layouts. I'm going to keep an ongoing log of my changes in the following forum thread: CSS Changes Affecting Groups In the end, I hope this will make the CSS a bit more flexible and also a bit more organized. I'm not for sure how long I'll be making changes which will affect groups, but the above thread will be the place to go if something changes in your layout and you want to get a quick idea of what to do about it. In the next few paragraphs i will try my best to explain to you the beauty of my religion, a religion that has been misunderstood for to long. Like all religions, Islam starts with faith and devotion, if you love God, then you are already on the right path, but there is alot more to becomming a Muslim then simply loving God. In Islam we believe that Allah is the soul creator of the universe and all things, time did not exist before him niether did the smallest of atoms or the biggest of stars, he is without father and son, he is the only. As a Muslim, your life is devoted to God, literally, when you wake up you the above verse, before you eat you say "Bismallah Iraman Irahim" which translates, "In the name of Allah, most gracious, most merciful". You are ordered to perform the 5 pillars of Islam, which are: - Faith or belief in the Oneness of God and the finality of the prophethood of Muhammad; -Establishment of the daily prayers; -Concern for and almsgiving to the needy; -Self-purification through fasting; and -The pilgrimage to Makkah for those who are able. These are duties Allah has ordered us to perform. Unlike many other religions, Islam is very demanding, you must always be in the purest and the most focused state of mind, that means no Alcohol or any intoxifying substances like marijuana or drugs. At this point i would like to point out that our holy book, the Qur`an can only be read in Arabic, English translations are available, but can easily be misinterpreted or misunderstood in the English one, the Qur`an did come down to us in Arabic. Unlike the bible which has many different books and scriptures that make up the bible, we have only one book. In most Islamic countries, majority of the people inhabiting those countries can recite the entire Qur`an off by heart. The month of Ramadan, or the month of fasting is important to us, because we believe on the first day of Ramadan, the Qur`an made its way down to earth, and was recited through the last Prophet of God, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The media has done a very good job of making the Muslims look like a group of primitive, abusive terrorists with no culture or religion, but what you must understand is this, and this is very important: Islam is a religion based on TOTAL devotion to God and his Prophet, nothing else matters, no amount of material well being or money will change them, Islam is a religion where no matter who you are, your only and first priority is to seek guidance from Allah, so one day, God willing, you will enter paradise. A good example of the oness of Islam is the holy pilgrimage to Makkah, no matter if you are rich or poor, a peasent or a king, when you are there, you all must wear a 2 piece white cloth, only your soul is displayed to Allah. Islam trully is a beautiful religion, but very misunderstood, and even feared. We do not make our wives wear those head scarf, its in the Qur`an as a uniform for the females, they have a choice, the reason its there is because of mans attention to the shapes of women, its a temptation and therefor a sin. Look at all the western countries, the rapes that occur and such, women wearing short mini skirts with there boobs popping out from low cut tops, now honestly, ask yourself this, would a rapist prefer to sexually assault a middle eastern Muslim women thats covered with no extra shapes sticking out, or a drunk girl who came from a party with short skirts and mini tops? Another thing is the topic of terrorism, im not going to dig deep into this because if you think the religion is based on it, then you are a fool, every religion has extremists. KKK, Knights Templar, Even priests have been convicted of mollesting kids. Im going to finish of by saying, if you dont understand something, research it, dont take verses from the Qur`an that say "Kill them all" instead read the lines before and after it, it might mean something totally different, would you open a letter and start reading from the middle? Dig deeper into Islam and you will see why its the 2nd largest and fastest growing religion in the world. | |
